Diner Art Still Life Painting

It has been awhile since I've painted one of my favorite subjects - Diner scenes. This complex composition consist of just about everything you can think of in a Diner painting. I used a dark background to highlight the chrome and the glass.

Cracked Egg in Bowl with Yolk-Still Life

This still life of a cracked egg and yolk in a bowl is very warm in color and design. I wanted to play with the use of light on the yolk and the subtle shading of the egg shell.

Pancake with Strawberries and Fruit

This is my forth pancake painting. I guess each week I discover something more colorful and delious than the previous week. This week I've combined berries and strawberries to the mix. Next time I'll order oat meal.

This still life painting is that of a very cool retro creamer. When I saw this at the salvation army I had to buy it. I love the style of this creamer with the scripting and pattern. I love painting this style of painting and completely went crazy in the chrome reflections !

This painting of two eggs and pancakes is another of my so called 'Breakfast' paintings. I wanted to paint an expressive style painting using thick and thin layers of paint. The painting utilizes several layers of colors to achieve this effect.

Trio of Sweets - Still Life Painting

This painting is a trio of still lifes that is fun and creative. A very stylized cup cakes and one good chocolate frosted donut. The painting is painted on 3/4" poplar and is ready to hang.

This painting like my other work "Four of a Kind" is very similar in its approach. The painting uses a very expressive technique. This painting with the warm tones of the chopping block and the cool surface of the pear with the various tones makes for a strong composition.

Four Pears - Still Life

This painting was a little different than some of my recent work. My interest here was to capture the texture of the fruit and the interesting surface that stands behind it. The painting really stands out as a strong composition with the various surfaces playing off each other. Please enjoy.
