Tea Pot with Pans and Cook Book Still Life

My wife has a small collection of cook books all over the house. I incorporated them into this composition. The old teapot was purchase at a Thrift store a couple of years ago. I've gotten great mileage on that old tea pot.

Tea Pot on Stove

My wife and I discovered an old chrome kettle at a thrift store last week that I just loved. I have always enjoyed panting tea kettles. In this painting you get a glimpse of my kitchen in the reflection. Two pictures for the price of one!

Corning Ware Tea Pot - Still Life

This classic retro (probably from the 1970's) was a real classic of my parents. This little tea pot from Corning Ware I believe is really a little throw back to the 70's. I really enjoy the pattern on the face of the tea pot.

Tea Pot on Stove / Retro Still Life

This painting was painted on 3/4" poplar wood. This surface is very different than my canvas over wood surface. The hard and extremely smooth surface is perfect for this subject. The high reflections and in places very detailed still life makes for a strong piece. Throughout the 6.5 years that I've painted and sold on ebay, I painted many tea pots and it is still fun to paint.

Titan & Tea Set-Still Life Painting

This painting illustrates a very impressionist and loose style of a vintage silver tea set with one of my favorite art books - Titan.
