This landscape painting is a Diner that my Dad and I would frequent before he and I would go to work. A few years ago my Dad and I would fix up houses and resell them. My Father who is a very skilled carpenter really enjoyed going out to breakfast. It gave us time to talk about sports and politics. We don't do this much anymore - really miss that coffee and donuts in the morning.I don't paint all that many of these types of paintings because of the amount of time involved in completing this very detailed and complex composition.
This painting was sold at auction in 2005.
