Wine Cork Screw Realism

This painting of a wine cork screw uses the realism of reflection and chrome to create the realism of the subject matter. I have always enjoyed painting chrome and here is no exception.

VolksWagen Painting

This painting was a blast to paint. I loved those old VolksWagens (VW) from the 50's. This painting captures those moments in this dynamic portrait of American history. I really had fun painting the landscape - which captures the dark skies and rich green setting.

Pizza Sauce and Cutter

This painting is of a pizza sauce jar and a Zyliss pizza cutter. I really enjoyed painting the pizza slice on the label - they make it look so good. I play of color on the shiny surface of the pizza cutter is almost abstract up close.

1956 Bel-Air Classic Automobile Painting

This painting is a 1956 Bel-Air automobile. This classic automobile is one of my favorite subjects. The chrome, design and colors is a painters dream. This painting is more stylized than some of my other paintings. The reflections and angles makes for a strong and almost abstract composition.

1950's Classic Automobile Painting

I just loved the fin of this 1950's old classic car. The blue and red tones are very virbrant. I have another one of these car paintings coming out this weekend. I am nuts with those wild colors and chrome reflections. I'm working on a Volkswagon and 1956 Bel-Air painting. Can't wait to display it - these are fun!

Contemporary Pop Art - Peanut butter and Jelly !

This still life painting illustrates a peanut butter jar and a bottle of homemade jam . You can't go wrong with peanut butter and jelly. This painting is a continuing series of what I call my 'contemporary pop art realism' series. The series is designed to focus on modern day food produce and to depict them as an art form. Unlike the popart from the Warhol days, my art takes the ordinary and combines both popart and realism still life to create fine art realism. It is kind of a 'mix bag'. If you are into realism and contemporary art, than this will fit your taste. Thanks for viewing.
